DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the development of voter education and civic education policies and strategies.
Oversee the development and implementation of a national voter education curriculum.
Oversee the coordination of national and international partnerships.
Develop voter education and civic education policies and strategies.
Oversee the development and implementation of a national voter education curriculum.
Develop accountability structures, review voter education and partnership reports, and monitor performance indicators.
Ensure that the Directorate is adequately resourced with professional and competent personnel.
Oversee the development of criteria for civic and voter education providers, accreditation, training and facilitation of collaborators.
Oversee the development of voter education quality-control measures and ensure timely execution.
Develop resource-mobilisation strategies and advise management on complementary funding opportunities.
Liaise with government and civil society institutions to facilitate voter and civic education.
In coordination with Legal Services and Public Affairs, liaise with the media in implementing voter education.
Oversee the development of information, education and communication (IEC) materials, national voter education campaigns and programmes.
Oversee the facilitation of regional voter education and civic education programmes.
