Medical Officer

Job Purpose The medical officer will provide high-quality, evidence-based medical care to patients while supporting the diagnosis, treatment, and management of cardiovascular and other medical conditions. Key Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks Key Responsibilities / Duties Assess, diagnose, and manage patients presenting with acute and chronic medical conditions. Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient medical care in accordance with established clinical guidelines. Participate in the assessment, stabilization, and management of emergency and critically ill patients. Review patient investigations, formulate treatment plans, and monitor patient progress. Work collaboratively with Cardiologists, Cardiothoracic Surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated patient care. Participate in ward rounds, multidisciplinary team meetings, and clinical audits. Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient medical records. Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, treatment plans, and healthy lifestyle practices. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, quality standards, infection prevention and control protocols, and patient safety requirements. Participate in continuous medical education, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
