Job Responsibilities
The Home Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of motor vehicles to provide timely delivery services while adhering to safety protocols and applicable regulations. This role requires a commitment to customer satisfaction and compliance with all driving and transportation standards. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Vehicle Operations:
Operating Government and Contractor vehicles safely and responsibly to deliver goods and materials according to established schedules.
Handling deliveries for residential and other designated locations with a focus on timeliness, accuracy, and professionalism.
Managing and verifying delivery schedules, ensuring all items are accounted for and delivered to the correct destinations.
Using appropriate loading, securing, and unloading techniques to ensure goods are delivered in a safe and undamaged condition.
Compliance and Licensing:
Maintaining a valid Driver's License in accordance with applicable Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) requirements, with demonstrated equivalency for foreign driver's licenses where required.
Possessing and maintaining a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) appropriate to the class and size of vehicles operated, if operating vehicles larger than pick-up trucks.
Adhering to all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies related to vehicle operation and road safety.
